About Jointing Sleeve

A robust component for 11 kV33 kV power systems, used with polymer pin insulators and cast iron earthing pipes. Made from aluminum or copper alloy for conductors and stainless steel for earthing pipes, jointing sleeves ensure secure, low-resistance connections. They repair or join damaged conductor sections (e.g., ACSR/AAAC) or ground electrodes, maintaining electrical continuity and mechanical strength. Conforms to IS:2121 (conductors) and IS:3043 (earthing)

Superior Engineering Meets Industry Standards

Our jointing sleeve is manufactured as per IS 8309 and IEC 61238-1, ensuring optimal safety and performance in a range of cable jointing and electrical connection applications. Its robust copper alloy body with electro tinned finish provides long-lasting durability even under harsh environmental conditions.

Efficient Thermal and Electrical Conductivity

Designed for excellent electrical and thermal conductivity, the sleeve efficiently handles rated voltages up to 11kV with minimal resistivity (1.68 cm). Its smooth, tin-plated surface enables easy installation, while the single-layer coating improves corrosion resistance and performance.

Versatility for Indoor and Outdoor Applications

With an operating temperature range of -20C to 120C and corrosion-resistant properties, this jointing sleeve is suitable for a wide variety of installations, whether indoors or outdoors. Its compact design and light weight (approx. 15g for the smallest size) make it easy to handle and integrate into existing systems.

FAQ's of Jointing Sleeve:

Q: How is the jointing sleeve installed for electrical connections?

A: Install the jointing sleeve by inserting both prepared cable ends into the sleeve and then crimping or compressing it using appropriate tools. Ensure that the cables are properly stripped and cleaned before insertion for optimal connectivity.

Q: What are the benefits of using a copper alloy sleeve with electro tinned coating?

A: A copper alloy provides high conductivity and mechanical strength, while the electro tinned coating enhances corrosion resistance, reduces electrical resistance at joints, and increases the sleeve's lifespan in demanding environments.

Q: Where can this jointing sleeve be used?

A: This sleeve is engineered for both indoor and outdoor applications, suitable for electrical and cable jointing in industrial, commercial, and infrastructure projects where reliable, high-voltage connections are essential.

Q: What standards does the jointing sleeve comply with, and why are they important?

A: It complies with IS 8309 and IEC 61238-1 standards, which ensure the product meets international safety, quality, and performance benchmarks for electrical connectors, providing confidence and reliability in installations.

Q: When should I use this jointing sleeve over other types?

A: Opt for this type when high conductivity, corrosion resistance, and mechanical strength are required, especially in environments demanding reliable performance under varied temperatures and voltages up to 11kV.

Q: What is the recommended minimum order quantity and available packaging?

A: The minimum order quantity is 100 pieces, and sleeves are offered in sturdy boxed packaging to ensure safe handling and delivery.

Q: How does the sleeve's RoHS compliance benefit users and the environment?

A: RoHS compliance ensures the sleeve is free from hazardous substances, making it safer for users to handle and environmentally friendlier by reducing the risk of toxic material release during use or disposal.
